Supernatural: 10 Best Characters Who Only Appeared In One Episode
2. Alton Morehead And Serena Colman - Season 12, Episode 14
British condescension is one of the longest-running tropes in American entertainment. Despite Britain and the United States being allies, a fair bit of cultural rivalry still exists. Perhaps the Brits are still angry at those uppity Yanks for rebelling against the king. Or maybe it's the Americans projecting their insecurities over the refinement they’ve never been able to cultivate. Perhaps they know that they will always remain upstarts in the eyes of Britons and therefore take to portraying many villains in their movies and TV shows with British accents as some form of petty revenge.
This rivalry extends to the Supernatural universe where the Men of Letters, a British organization that knows more about the Supernatural than any other human alive, has an extremely low opinion of hunters, especially Americans.
Serena Colman and Alton Morehead are different, however. They’re respectful to the Winchesters instead of condescending. They have a better track record at hunting vampires than the Winchesters and employ superior methods which they’re willing to share. They would have made excellent teammates for Dean and Sam but they die in their first on-screen vampire hunt despite an impressive resume because reasons.
