Supernatural: 10 Most Cringeworthy Moments

Celebrity cameos are as common on TV as Charlie Bradbury delivering pop culture references. The rub, however, is that hiring the wrong person can completely tank a scene. Let's just say the reality TV star/socialite/notorious rich girl Paris Hilton wasn't the best choice for Supernatural.

This infamous moment came during the climax of the episode "Fallen Idols". After investigating local disappearances, the Winchesters discovered that a shapeshifting Pagan God (Leshi) had been devouring its followers. Leshi lured people in by shifting into celebrity idols, taking the form of Paris Hilton in this climax.

This actor (?) can work well if given the proper role - she did a solid job in Repo The Genetic Opera, for example - but here, taking on the part of a human guzzling God wasn't quite in her wheelhouse. Her lacklustre performance also wasn't helped by the slew of references to House of Wax, which felt like a forced attempt to make her seem relevant.

Hilton's acting chops weren't up to scratch here, with no weight to anything she said and zero intimidation factor. Unfortunately, this sank the whole ship, as the decent concept was lost, and the entire thing felt like a cheap ploy for attention.
