Supernatural:10 Greatest Episodes So Far

1. Swan Song- Season 5, Episode 22

Finally, after much editing and typing, we are at the greatest episode of Supernatural so far. And I can already hear half the fans sharpening their pitch forks. It's an episode that splits fans in half. In the finale of season 5, with no other options left, Sam finally says Yes to Lucifer. His plan was to throw himself into Lucifer's Cage once he entered his body, but his plan miserably fails and the Apocalypse has begun. Swan Song was originally meant to be the final episode of Supernatural. But the CW decided to instead order a new season against the wishes of creator Eric Kripke. You can only imagine the reaction of the writers. After writing an ending to the show, they had to go back and change the ending so a new season could happen. This decision led to Eric Kripke leaving his own show and Sara Gamble to step up as Showrunner. The episode begins with the profit, Chuck Shirley, writing his new book on the boys lives. He begins the story with the 1967 Chevy Impala's inception. He talks about the owners it went through until it finally was owned by Dean. Chuck doesn't reveal it yet but he states that the Impala is the most important object in the universe. After Sam says "Yes" the world begins to be destroyed. The only plan Dean has is to talk to Sam through Lucifer. Lucifer reveals that he had demons planted throughout Sam's life to guide Sam to him. It's is also revealed that the Archangel Michael doesn't want Dean anymore and settles for his half brother Adam. Dean is able to stop Michael and Lucifer before they fight. Cas sends Michael to Heaven for a couple of minutes but Lucifer blows him up like a water balloon for revenge. Then he snaps Bobby's neck and proceeds to beat Dean to death. But before he lands the final blow, the Impala reminds Sam of all the good memories in his life and with Dean. This allows him to regain control of his body. Sam reopens the portal to Lucifer's Cage but Michael returns to stop him. Then in one of the most beautiful and sad moments in the show, Sam grabs Michael and throws both of them into Hell, sacrificing himself to save the world. God brings Castiel back to life with new powers and revives Bobby. It is heavily implied that Chuck is God. Everyone goes their separate ways. Dean attempts to start a family with a former flame and her son but little does he know Sam is standing outside his house. And with that we conclude our list. When the show is over I will create a new list. I promise I will try to make the new list less detailed and less summarized then this one. So see you in a couple of years when the show is over. Please comment.

Without decent writing skills and pop culture knowledge, I'd currently be asking you, "Would you like fries with that?"
