Teen Wolf: Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best

3. Chris Argent (J.R. Bourne)

Teen Wolf Cast
MTV Production

Chris Argent had the most tragic arc on the show, without question. Between season one and season three, he lost his sister, his wife, and his daughter. Along the way, his father became nothing short of a tyrannical psychopath and his original faith in his hunter creed was shattered beyond repair.

For the first two seasons, Argent was a hunter - Scott's nemesis, father of Allison and patriarch of a family who for generations had committed themselves to ridding the world of the supernatural.

But in the face of overwhelming tragedy, something changed within him, and he began to form a close bond with the likes of Scott, Stiles, Lydia, Isaac, and Derek, changing his view of the world and forming him into the pack's most consistent ally and mentor in their toughest moments.

Argent's is the best character arc on the show - a startling, completely believable redemption wherein he never lost his ability to be an intimidating fighter and intelligent hunter.

His happy ending is all fans ever wanted, and the journey to get there was nothing if not commendable.
