6. Malia Tate (Shelley Hennig)
Entering the show in the second half of season three before becoming a major character for the rest of the show, Malia came into the fold under unusual circumstances. After her family were killed in a car accident that she managed to survive, she reverted to her full coyote form and stayed that way for years until Scott, Stiles and the others brought her back.
After that, she often proved to the comic relief of the show - socially awkward, painfully honest, but eventually loyal and better able to express her emotions.
She was also one of the show's best fighters, who used her anger to her advantage whenever she could and often turned the tides in the many fights she found herself a part of over the course of the show.
Her best moments stemmed from her scenes with Stiles. Though the two dating upset many fans begging for a Stiles/Lydia partnership, it was nonetheless a sweet and moving story that they ended up sharing, allowing Malia to become more human as the show progressed.
