Teen Wolf: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
8. Season 2
Kanimas and hallucinations are the through-line for this season. Gently expanding the roster of supernatural creatures to include a lizard-like creature that is the result of a mutated werewolf.
We are lead down a path to find out the identity of the Kanima, only for it to be revealed that this creature doesn't have control of its actions but is rather working for a master. Oh, and for added difficulty, the kanima has a paralytic agent in its tail, frequently leaving our heroes paralysed.
If this wasn't enough, Lydia (Holland Roden) is hallucinating a mysterious boy who keeps appearing at odd times, who turns out to be young Peter Hale (Ian Bohen) - the villain of season one. He is using Lydia to attempt to resurrect himself. On top of this, following her mother's death Allison has turned into a ruthless hunter, influenced by her grandfather Gerard, played by Michael Hogan.
However, Gerard has his own secrets and turns out to be the one in control of the kanima and is hoping to evolve it into an unstoppable killing machine. He also is revealed to be dying of cancer, seeking the bite of an alpha to transform into a werewolf and survive his illness.
Exhausted yet? This season is packed with some really interesting plots but it just all feels a bit much. The writers manage to tie the plots together but only just, sometimes it feels like they've bitten off more than they can chew.
