The Arrowverse: 10 Most Hated Supporting Characters

The only thing keeping team Arrow's tech genius from being further down on this list is that fact that at one point, she was a great character.

In Arrow season one, she was a good medium between the extreme ends of Oliver and Diggle. She was able to keep the peace between them, whilst also having a good reason to have joined the crusade against Starling City's criminals. In the second season, she came to really grow as a character, whilst also becoming a prominent person in Oliver's life. Seasons three and four is where things started to slip.

While her strong stance against being a woman that Oliver loves is commendable, the show began to invest too much time on who Felicity was going to date and not enough time on the actual plot. League of Assassins? Nah, let's just focus on Felicity fawning over Ray Palmer. Hive? Nope, let's focus on Felicity being mad at Oliver for getting along with her mother. Sadly, Felicity Smoak became hated through overexposure. Shining a light on her only exposed some ugly qualities and questionable choices.

Her self-righteous and judgemental nature that caused Oliver and Barry to lose against Vandal Savage; walking out on Oliver right after they had rescued his kidnapped son; punishing Oliver for her own inaction when it came to finding Ray... All of Felicity's annoying qualities can all be attributed to her love life, and unfortunately that is intrinsically linked with the decline of Arrow's quality.
