The Best Villain From Every Season Of The Flash

3. Season 6 - Bloodwork

The Flash The Thinker
The CW

The first villain in the show's 'Graphic Novel' format, Dr. Ramsey Rosso's presence in season six was a welcome return to form for the show (at least for a while) and his abilities and objectives made for unsettling body horror imagery and questions on mortality.

Following the death of his mother Rachel, Rosso was angered by his mom's seeming uninterest in fighting for her life. This, coupled with his depraved view on death, meant that he would do anything to challenge the natural phenomenon.

Naturally, trying to play God with something such as death backfired in Rosso's face, with the dark matter he experimented on awakened his meta-abilities and transformed him into the horrifying Bloodwork. Fitting his name, the misguided scientist could control blood for a variety of disturbing purposes.

Rosso worked as a villain due to the aforementioned horror imagery, his unconventional abilities and disturbing yet tragic backstory. Sendhil Ramamurthy's performance and the script helped convey the fact that Rosso was a man deeply afraid of death, and would stop at nothing to control it.

David Ng'ethe hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
