Episode: "The Excelsior Acquisition " (Season 3, Episode 16)

One of the founding fathers of Marvel Comics and the undisputed King of the Nerds is in town, and the four guys are understandably excited to meet him. Sheldon, however, is forced to attend court and misses the opportunity. This fills Penny with guilt - she was responsible for Sheldon being in court - and so she makes it up to him by taking the devastated Sheldon directly to the home of Lee himself. It's safe to say that Lee is less than thrilled by an eager fan showing up on his doorstep late at night.

Stan Lee's awesome presence alone would've been enough to make the top ten, but he goes the extra mile. Instead of playing his famously friendly self, the Man taps into his inner-grump and does a convincing job of it. His Fantastic Four robe is the cherry (or four...) on top.

His appearance here just goes to show that Stan Lee can excel(sior) in a cameo role no matter how short it is, and no matter how unlikeable he is while doing it.
