Since it was first aired in September 2007, the geekiest comedy on television has become an unstoppable juggernaut. It's been a successful, award-laden six years for the show earlier this week Jim Parsons picked up a best actor gong at the Emmys to go with his Golden Globe, and the series is the twice-winner of The People#s Choice Award for Favourite Comedy. Since the pilot we have seen Leonard and Penny get together (twice), the formation of 'The Shamy' , Howard go into outer space and his marriage to Bernadette. Certainly a lot has happened in what has been six seasons stacked with geeky goodness. But some things never change, like Sheldon's cleanliness, Mrs Wolowitz's continued visual absence and Howard getting ribbed for not having a P.H.D. Yet as the show has developed and it's following bigger and bigger, cameo-ing celebrities have flocked to it. The Big Bang Theorycan now lure some pretty awesome people into its episodes, so without further ado, I'm going to pick out the best.
10. Brent Spiner
The man who played Lieutenant Commander Data in Star Trek: The Next Generation for fifteen years appeared in The Big Bang Theory in season five, 'The Russian Rocket Reaction'. In this episode Will Wheaton is throwing a party at his house and Leonard and the boys are invited. But of course, Wheaton is Sheldon's arch-enemy and doesn't want to go, yet he resolves to turn up and 'fight' for their friendship. Wheaton manages to win Sheldon round with his nice house and a signed limited addition action figure, and everything seems rosy. But then, Brent Spiner opens the sealed box, ruining the figure's collectability and signing his name on Sheldon's list. Although Spiner has no reason to worry, because as his former cast colleague says, the role 'doesn't take up much of your time.'
