10. The Kiss Took Too Long

They€™ve been a couple on TV for four long years, and we have only just seen them kiss. This is a momentous event in their relationship given Sheldon€™s hygiene issues and their lack of social awareness, but the build up took so long that it was bound to be anticlimactic. It has taken four years for a simple kiss, and as the show was recently renewed for a further three series it stands to reason that the next step in their relationship will take just as long; will audiences find another long build up funny? Clearly Sheldon and Amy have some form of emotional compatibility, but in terms of the show this is not enough. Howard began as a borderline sex pest, and Penny€™s sexual life is often made into a joke through Sheldon€™s inability to understand personal boundaries. Leonard€™s performance in the bedroom is equally made into a joke on a regular basis; ShAmy simply do not fit into this.
