The Big Bang Theory: 10 Things That Must Happen Before It Ends

2. Howard Hears From His Dad

Throughout the whole show, Howard frequently references how his dad ran out on him and his mother when Howard was young, and has never been seen since. It seems pre-destined that Howard still has some unresolved issues from this, although he also blatantly uses the excuse a lot to get sympathy. The subject has been touched upon before when a letter from Howard's father was found by Sheldon, and while Howard refused to read it, that doesn't necessarily mean the issue is resolved. Now that Howard's beloved mother has passed away, it would seem like a fitting time for Howard's father to make a reappearance, and finally explain why he left all those years ago. And that would nicely up one of the final question marks that's plagued the show for years.
