Nobody could have quite predicted when The Big Bang Theory first aired in 2017 that it would go on to run for 279 episodes across 12 incredible seasons, becoming one of the most successful sitcoms of the modern tv era. Not bad for a tv show about a bunch of nerds talking about comic book multiverses, complex quantum equations and geeky Star Trek factoids.
Earlier this month marked three years since The Big Bang Theory ended with the two part finale The Change Constant and The Stockholm Syndrome. A whopping 18.52 million viewers watched as Sheldon Cooper and Amy Fowler received a Nobel Prize and Penny revealed that she was pregnant.
In 2022 there’s no television show to compare The Big Bang Theory to and we can only hope that one day CBS will decide on a full cast revival.
