The Big Bang Theory Finale: 9 Biggest Questions It Leaves Behind

5. Where Do Sheldon And Amy's Careers Go From Here?

Following their initial discovery of super asymmetry mere minutes before they were due to tie the knot, both Sheldon and Amy were presented with the prestigious Nobel Prize in the final episode. Since they achieved this high level of honor (something Sheldon had been chasing after for almost his entire life), the only question that's really left for the pair's careers is where do they go from here?

The show ended with Sheldon virtually being the polar opposite as to what he was in episode one. That Sheldon would've never allowed Amy to take credit for the work, let alone share the stage with him while he was presented with his medal. Thankfully for Amy, that version of Sheldon is in the rearview mirror.

It's completely unclear as to what ShAmy could do going forward. They've earned one of the highest awards they can get within their profession - it doesn't really get much better than that. Perhaps they'll continue working together on group projects as opposed to doing their own separate thing in their respective fields. Clearly, they work well as a team judging by the award they were presented with.
