4. Will Howard Or Bernadette Become A Stay-At-Home Parent?
When it comes to Howard and Bernadette, they're both reasonably successful in their own fields of expertise. As an engineer, Howard has been seen working on equipment for NASA missions while also having the opportunity to fly to space, whereas Bernadette is an exceptionally hard worker at the pharmaceutical company she was hired by.
It's clear that they both lead busy lives which, when mixed in with the fact that they're caring for two children, gives them hardly any time for themselves. Although Stuart and Denise were happy enough to look after the children when they were required, they're in a much more committed relationship now, and so they may not always be around to help out the Wolowitz clan.
As a result, it's possible that one of them would give up their job to become a stay-at-home parent while the other becomes the sole earner for the family. It's something that they did consider when Bernadette was pregnant the first time around but ultimately, it never happened. With both earning reasonably good salaries, they would get by on just the one income. The main question really is which one of the two would give up their job that easily.
