It's hard to come up with a truly unusual and unique couple for a sitcom, but the creators of The Big Bang Theory definitely succeeded: Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farah Fowler entertained audiences for an incredible 12 seasons.
Amy is definitely a unique character. Not only did she voluntarily get married to Sheldon Lee Cooper, but she also tricked him into liking kids.This relationship could have been the most boring in the history of The Big Bang Theory and indeed of all sitcoms, but surprisingly, the two ironcily weird scientists turned out to be very interesting to watch.
They grew from the "boy slash friend slash girl slash friend" to “girlfriend and boyfriend”, then went back on being just friends again, and finally got engaged and married. Not on Mars, but still. Not to mention they worked on Super-Asymmetry and made a discovery worthy of the Nobel Prize. Who’s a weirdo now?
