One friendship that stood out the most, aside from Penny and Sheldon anyway, was that between Penny and Amy. They may have gotten off to an awkward start in the beginning but as time went on, their friendship grew into one of the sweetest and cutest audiences had ever seen.
These two couldn't be any more different, but their differences are what made them get along perfectly. They were polar opposites in personality, upbringing, and style, yet they learned from each other, shared things together, and grew as friends and individuals.
Although they were brought together with the help of Leonard and Sheldon, they stayed BFFs because of their love for each other. From strangers in season 4 to best friends in season 12, Amy and Penny showed tremendous growth.
