7. You're A Slave

One of Sheldon's many quirks is not knowing what behaviour is appropriate in social situations, which often results in some form of funny faux pas. This episode is not any different. He started by giving his assistant, Alex, a talking to about making inappropriate sexual advances towards his friends. Of course, Alex denied this and any normal boss would have dropped the topic there. But that's not Dr Sheldon Cooper's style. Instead he likened her to an egg salad sandwich and showed her pictures of STD's in the hope of lowering her libido. Of course, Alex filed a complaint against him which meant that Sheldon had to pay a visit to the Human Resources Department. This scene is brilliant from beginning to end. Sheldon began with his usual knocking routine, calling out 'Human Resources Department' in between knocks, causing Mrs Davis, the head of HR, to look a little bemused as she waited for him to enter. Mrs Davis then reminded Sheldon of the behaviour that had brought him there, to which he nods and accepts, before defending himself; suggesting that his behaviour is only inappropriate because he appeared to single one woman out, rather than including them all like he had intended. He keeps talking, not realising that he was making the situation much worse. He even called the dark skinned Mrs Davis a 'slave', referencing her biological urges, and refuses to acknowledge the double meaning.
