The Big Bang Theory: Sheldon Cooper's 10 Funniest Moments

4. Chinese

To say that Sheldon is picky about his food is an understatement; every detail has to match his requirements and he's very meticulous about ensuring this. So when Sheldon believes that he's receiving orange chicken rather than tangerine chicken from his local Chinese, it's no surprise that he learns Mandarin in order to confront the owners. Unfortunately, somewhere between having Howard for a teacher and learning through tapes, Sheldon doesn't quite get the language right. But he thinks that he's fluent. He asks the owner to show him his mucus and then tells him that his meal is not a 'tangerine bicycle'. The owner gets frustrated, obviously thinking that Sheldon is either crazy or on some kind of wind-up mission, and he asks for someone to call the police. Sheldon understands what has been said and responds that they should not call the 'library'. He continues on, asking to see the mucus, before announcing: 'Oxen are in my bed! Many, many Oxen!' It is then that the owner gives up and Sheldon concedes with a strange 'Oy vey' in Chinese.
