Pretty much anyone with a fondness for Star Wars were beside themselves with excitement when Season 2 of The Mandalorian concluded with Luke Skywalker making an appearance. Mark Hamill was too old to perform the role himself (although he was on set during filming), so this version of Luke was portrayed by a body double called Max Lloyd-Jones. Nevertheless, it was a dream come true to see the legendary Jedi as he looked in George Lucas's original trilogy.

Fortunately, Max Lloyd-Jones got the chance to return to the Star Wars franchise after being cast in The Book of Boba Fett. However, he wasn't playing who you would think.

This time around, Lloyd-Jones cameos as Lieutenant Reed - one of the pilots who asks for Din's credentials while he tests out his N-1 starfighter. Even though his appearance was brief, it was nice that the actor who brought Luke Skywalker to life in The Mandalorian got the chance to actually show his face this time. (I mean, you can barely see his face since it's obscured by his visor and helmet but you know what I mean.)
