The Boys: 10 Goriest Moments So Far

This was the first moment in the series that revealed how much of a bloody spectacle The Boys would be. It had barely even been five minutes since the beginning of the show when this bombastic and horrifying sight came along, which made you fall rather quickly for Robin and her dynamic with Hughie, before cruelly tearing it away.

The scene opens in a sweet and optimistic tone, as the couple of Hughie and Robin discuss the former's job and start to make plans to move in together. It's utterly adorable thanks to their great chemistry, but then all of a sudden, Robin disappears, and the camera pans to a mass of bones and blood.

Just like Hughie, it takes a moment for you to realise what's going on, as it all happens so fast. However, as soon as the slow-motion dissipates, you realise that Robin has been blindsided and obliterated by the speedster A-Train, and it looks like one of the worst ways to go.

As horrible as this scene was, it was a great way to introduce the show's core themes. You had the debut of A-Train, a motive for Hughie, the concept of collateral damage, but most importantly, a vibe for the sheer amount of blood and gore that would be coming.
