The Boys: 10 Goriest Moments So Far
8. Lamplighter Lives Up To His Namesake
Talk about going out in a blaze of glory. Well, in the case of Lamplighter, this probably wasn't the heroic way he imagined his life ending. This scene was truly shocking, as it seemed like Lamplighter was on his way to becoming a beneficial ally, but it all went up in flames, figuratively and literally.
After Hughie and Lamplighter remain home together, they find out that Starlight is being kept at Vought Towers. Hughie convinces the former hero to use his knowledge of the building to help him break her out, which he reluctantly agrees to. However, it turns out that the flaming hero had ulterior motives, as he uses the break in to locate the Seven's conference room and commits suicide by lighting himself on fire.
While the fire itself isn't the most horrifying image, it's the glimpse you get of the former member of The Seven's corpse afterwards that truly puts it on this list. His charred and burned body is filled with gruesome detail, and it's an image you might struggle to get out of your head.
Shawn Ashmore may have played Iceman in the X-Men series, but he's certainly had a brush with fire now.
