1. The Deep's Gills
For the final entry in this list we turn back to The Deep, and it is hard to imagine any other moment taking the crown.
The Deep brings home a superhero fan to his new apartment after being relocated due to the revelation of his sexual assault on Starlight.
The Deep reveals that along his torso are a collection of gills that help him breath underwater. As the fan starts kissing him and touching his body, The Deep tells her that touching his gills hurts him.
Not fazed by his pain, the fan straddles The Deep and continues to slide her fingers inside of his gills, talking dirty to him and ignoring his obvious discomfort.
This scene is something that, even despite the things we have already seen throughout the season, would have been hard to imagine.
While this by no means excuses the awful thing The Deep has done, and likely will do, in the series, it does begin to unravel his mentality and elicit some sympathy for the man who has been so objectified himself due to his super abilities.
