The Boys: 12 HUGE Questions We Already Have For Season Four

Ryan will potentially grow into a great threat against the Boys. Realistically, he already is, and he has one hell of a chip on his shoulder after how Billy treated him, but with his powers seemingly only going to grow things could just get worse for his step-dad.

This is assuming that he stays loyal to his biological father, however. Ryan has known about his parentage for some time in The Boys, but has only just properly embraced Homelander as his dad. It’s easy to assume that he won’t exactly be the greatest dad in the world, so could he drive Ryan away again?

Though he is protecting his son, and is putting his safety above all else for the moment, this won’t last forever. He will expect more from Ryan eventually, and will potentially work him too hard or say the wrong thing.

Ryan is a young, emotional, and impressionable kid, and one small reminder of what Homelander has done in the past, a conversation with Billy that blames his dad for his mom’s death, or something else entirely could be enough to send him back to Butcher. In season four he could switch allegiances just as easily as staying loyal to Homelander.
