The Boys: 8 Worst Things The Seven Have Done

From the very beginning of the series, Billy Butcher already holds a grudge against just about every superhero on the planet. While there are small bits of exposition, and hints to his reasons, it’s not until relatively late in the season we fully understand his situation.

Billy’s wife Becca used to work for Vought as the senior director of digital marketing, a position that forced both Homelander and her own paths to cross on a regular basis. The man formerly known as John took an interest in Mrs. Butcher, and pushed their relationship past boundaries.

Becca was called into Homelander’s office where she remained for three hours, before leaving partially clothed and looking very upset. She then sat on a park bench for a further three hours before disappearing, leaving everyone to assume that she was dead. After seeing video proof of this, Billy came to the conclusion that his wife was raped by the superhero, a theory that was all but confirmed by Jonah Vogelbaum, who said she died giving birth to Homelander’s child.
