The Boys: Every Episode Ranked Worst To Best
10. Cherry (Season 1, Episode 2)
Speaking of game-changers, Cherry was the first episode to show The Boys (save MM and Kimiko) in action, as Hughie and Butcher team-up with Frenchie to deal with a kidnapped Translucent. Cherry is a turning point episode, in which Hughie has to decide whether he really wants revenge on the Seven or if he needs to pack up and return home to his dad.
The episode also sees Starlight confront The Deep about their interaction in the previous episode, standing up to the manipulative supe and vowing to never be pushed around like that again.
In the end, Starlight finds her footing on the team and begins to feel okay about her work, whilst Hughie blows Translucent up when he tries to escape Frenchie's compound. Between this dark and gory twist and more insight into Homelander's relationship with the Seven and Madelyn Stillwell, Cherry solidified The Boys as a show to watch, and not one that would take its subject lightly.
