9. The Sage Grove & Courtroom Massacres
After being forced to live underground thanks to the events of season one ultimately leading to The Boys being wanted across the country, Hughie and M.M. reached out to Susan Raynor to discuss their options. Mid-way through their conversation however, the Deputy Director of CIA's head spontaneously exploded.
This kicked off the new season with a bang, but was just the tip of the iceberg as far as exploding body parts went. When M.M., Frenchie, and Kimiko went undercover to the Sage Grove Centre, they were met by Lamplighter, in an altercation that saw one of the cell walls burned down.
This allowed Cindy, one of Vought's experiments loose, and she began a rampage across the entire building, exploding heads and entire bodies as she went.
The same thing happened in episode seven, just as Dr Volgelbaum took to the stand in the trial of Vought. Not only did his head explode, Shockwave's went, and just about everybody else's, with the exception of Mallory, Victoria Neuman, and the rest of the supes. This set up the finale of the season in one of the strongest ways imaginable.
