The Boys Season 2: 10 Shocking Comic Moments That Must Happen

2. Queen Maeve Attacks Homelander

Homelander The Boys
Dynamite Entertainment

Queen Maeve has really been done justice in the televised adaptation of The Boys - especially in having Dominique McElligott play a version of Maeve who is more likely to be found practicing sparring than doing any of the daytime drinking of her comic counterpart.

With focus having been placed on showing Maeve as a talented fighter, then, the scene where she turns on the Homelander and tries to kill him should be all the more badass were it to feature in the show. While Homelander takes Maeve out in one hit in the comics, this is implied to be because Maeve has spent her days drinking and moping about the Seven's base instead of ever practicing her fighting abilities - shown by the sword she tries to use to kill him, which she is unaware is a prop.

For the film heroine, however, this fight could go a sight differently. Not only is she considerably more likely to have a legit weapon on her, but she's also significantly more lucid, meaning that the two could have a far more dynamic fight were this to feature in a later episode.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
