The Boys Season 3: 10 Burning Questions We Already Have

9. What Will Happen To The Deep?

Through season one, The Deep suffered a quite spectacular fall from grace. He was a superhero of The Seven, but after sexually assaulting Starlight and turning on his biggest sponsor, Oceanland, he found himself exiled from the team in a small city with virtually no crime.

His subsequent arc throughout the second season was a strange one, joining a cult with the ultimate goal of redeeming himself and being welcomed back into the Seven. The story ran parallel with the main plot of the season but rarely crossed over, keeping the character relatively isolated save for A-Train.

The finale however saw the speedster gifted a path back into the Seven thanks to Alastair and the Church of the Collective rather than The Deep, leaving the former in pretty much the same place as where he began the season.

Not only did he storm off from Alastair's office, seemingly severing his ties to the Church, the leader of the movement was murdered horrifically by Victoria Neuman. So where does this leave The Deep going into season three? It seems likely that he'll still be trying to get back into the Seven, but without the Church to guide him, it could be anyone's guess as to what he's up to in season three.
