The Boys Season 3: 10 Reasons To Be Excited

1. The Boys On CIA Payroll

The Boys Season 2
Dynamite Entertainment

In the first season they were vigilantes, in the second they were fugitives...

With Mallory informing Butcher that Neuman is building a CIA backed team is on the way, the squad that was The Boys in the comics appears to be fully brought to life on the show. What's the difference, you might ask?

With CIA clearance, comes new agendas and new Supes for The Boys to go after. Throughout its long comic run, Billy has led the team on missions that involved blackmailing, coercing and eventually stomping Supes that stepped out of line.

With the characters no longer hiding in the basements of Pawn Shops, it's a possibility that we're going to see the team flying across the US and coming face-to-face with a variety of Supes.

There's hope as well, that working with the CIA might introduce other comic-canon figures, including The Legend - whose history with The Boys in the comics would make an interesting transition to the screen.

And with the CIA, comes a few government officials. While some have already made their small screen debut, there haven't been any characters yet that represent Kessler AKA "Monkey". A character who really has to be seen to be believed.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
