The Boys Season 3: 10 Reasons To Be Excited
10. The Undiscovered Supes
The Compound V storyline in Season 2 definitely didn't go as expected:
The revelation that superheroes are made and not born didn't garner as much controversy or horror as it would in the real world - with the show instead (thanks to Stan Edgar and Stormfront's spinning) turning the scandal into a propaganda piece to fight foreign enemies.
Nevertheless, two seasons of the show made the huge suggestion that there are a lot of super-powered kiddies and babies wandering around the US, just waiting to be discovered.
With body-popping Cindy escaping from Sage Grove, it's a guessing game as to whether or not we see her again - but there's an absolute certainty there are more like her out in the US. For two seasons, Homelander and Vought had been campaigning to get Supes in military more and more, and domestic terrorism was a big story variable in Season 2.
Soldier Boy's debut in the third season is going to amplify the patriotic aspect - with two characters wearing the Stars & Stripes, could the third season be branching into an "enemy right next door" idea?
Season 2 was foreign terrorists - Season 3 could be domestic terror, instead.
