The Boys Season 3: 10 Things You Need To Know
4. One "Villain" Could Soon Become A Hero
Queen Maeve has never really seemed as despicable as some of her teammates in The Seven, but she certainly doesn't appear to care about much of what they do. That changed over the course of season two, though, and the Wonder Woman parody found redemption when she helped Billy Butcher and his team and later blackmailed Homelander.
When it comes to season three, actress Dominique McElligott believes there's now hope for Maeve finding her way back to the side of the angels.
"Is she going to find redemption?" the actress ponders. "Is she going to not only survive but thrive (to sound really fricking cheesy)? But really just thrive in a sense of going forward, like is that possible for Maeve? Is it out there for Maeve? Is she that far gone? You don't know. We have to hope that there's maybe a happy ending for Maeve."
Things don't end well for Queen Maeve in the comic books, of course, but taking the character down that route in the show would do a disservice to her.
