The Boys Season 3: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

11. Queen Maeve

The powerful force of nature Queen Maeve has always been one of The Boys' most quietly tragic characters, a trend which has continued into the third season as she's started to stand up to Homelander and found her life turned upside down by his madness and her secret affiliation with The Boys.

This season has found her at her most beaten down yet, trapped by Homelander and driven by a single-minded desire to finally put a stop to his evil ways, and maybe atone for own sins in the process. Though this leads to her being used too sparingly, the time she does get to shine leads to a brilliant moment of sacrifice.

Finally given the chance to combat her traumatic past and failings -- two seasons in, and she remains haunted by the plane crash from season one, her treatment of Starlight, and her messy relationship with girlfriend Elena -- Maeve might just be the season's most selfless and heroic figure.

That being said, her screentime is short and sporadic, but this is just a minor gripe; Queen Maeve is a rare ray of genuine goodness.
