The Defenders Early Reviews: 10 Critical Reactions You Must See

The Defenders Luke Cage
Netflix
"It’s a tonal mishmash as it brings these characters together (including a very cringe-worthy decision to play hip hop every time we see Luke in the first hour when no one else gets a soundtrack — we get it, guys; he’s black)" - Collider

Embarrassingly, it seems that the show isn't without some truly tone-deaf artistic choices, particularly as it pertains to the music, blaring out hip-hop whenever Luke Cage appears on screen, especially as none of the other characters have their own signature accompanying music.

It may not be the worst decision in the world, but it's sure not much good either, and you can count on numerous websites calling Marvel and Netflix to order for this thoughtless decision once the full season is released.
