The Flash: 10 Characters Who Should Join Season 3

8. Bart Allen

The Flash Black Racer
DC Comics

Young Bart Allen is yet another of DC’s famed speedsters. Whereas so many of the world’s speedsters are from the present or the past, Bart is different in that he is from the 30th century. Not only that but he’s the grandson of Barry Allen.

Often known as Kid Flash or Impulse – or even briefly The Flash for a spell in the mid-2000s - Bart is brought to the present in order to find a cure for the superspeed that makes him rapidly age. Whilst a cure was indeed found, this also managed to keep his superspeed intact. Convenient, no?

As well as being tied to Barry Allen, Bart is a hero who was taken under the wing of the comic book Wally West version of The Flash. With Wally having recently joined Barry on The CW’s The Flash, could there be room for another speedster-in-waiting?

If the show wanted to go full-on out-there in terms of exploring other timelines and time-travel, which is a big "if", then having Bart Allen turn up would definitely be a step in the right direction for many a longtime DC fan and would perfectly set the mood for Season 3.
