The Flash: 10 Characters Who Should Join Season 3

7. Clayface

The Flash Black Racer
DC Comics

Yes, Clayface is usually a Batman villain, but that doesn’t mean that he couldn't be a great addition for The Flash.

Both The Flash and Arrow have shown that comic book match-ups aren’t the be-all and end-all when it comes to introducing villains to The CW’s DC world, with Arrow in particular having mined Batman’s rogues’ gallery for many of its bad guys (Deadshot, Ra’s al Ghul, Firefly, Dollmaker, even Huntress).

With the meta-human-heavy vibe of The Flash, someone like Clayface would be a prime contender to turn up in Central City. With the ability to alter his appearance, size and shape thanks to the chemically-enhanced clay that makes up his being, Clayface seems like a no-brainer when it comes to potential villains for The Flash to have to tackle.

In terms of the SFX work at play, elements of this rogue may well prove costly when it comes to expenses for the show, but one also has to consider that Clayface is someone who often spends his time disguised as other people. Simply put, once you can get past him being a Batman character, this is one rogue who is perfect for the small screen and would make a great villain-of-the-week for The Flash to tackle if the new season is in need of a one-and-done meta-human sort.
