The Flash: 10 Things Season 2 Has Got Horribly Wrong (So Far)

6. No Mid-Season Finale Hook

When Harrison Wells went into his secret lair to reveal the Reverse-Flash suit, jaws hit the floor. The crippled scientist trying to help Barry secretly had super powers and was also trying to kill him?! What did it all mean? It left viewers anxiously sitting on the edge of their seats for months until the show finally returned. Season 2€™s mid-season finale was a different story, however. Despite the episode itself being very enjoyable, the final story beat, meant to entice viewers into waiting for new episodes, was incredibly lacklustre. Wells€™s betrayal doesn't feel so much shocking as expected. Zoom blackmailing Wells with his kidnapped daughter was just so obvious. And the reveal that Zoom was trying to make Barry faster seems like a simultaneous re-tread of what Wells did last year as well as a convenient excuse for why the clearly superior Zoom won€™t just kill Barry.
