The Flash: 8 Best Villains

It's hard to deny the fact that Leonard Snart's appearances in the first season of The Flash turned him into an instant fan favorite, his icy wit, always calm demeanor, and friend-and-foe dynamic with Barry giving him an edge over pretty much every other supporting villain. There's a dramatic flair that actor Wentworth Miller has given the character that transcends being ridiculous to become outright charming, and The Flash has definitely felt his loss ever since the character departed to join Legends of Tomorrow.

On that show, he really got to shine, the criminal with a knack for self-preservation growing into a true hero who was willing to sacrifice his life for his team, completing a journey he started on The Flash in excellent form. Since then, we've seen him resurface as a hologram on The Flash, his past self was plucked from the timeline to join the Legion of Doom in Legends' second seasons, and his Earth-X counterpart is currently hanging with the team since the Crisis on Earth-X event, but for all intents and purposes, Snart's story is over so as not to undermine the arc he got sent out on.

Unfortunately, Miller announced back in November that after his arc on Legends is over, he'll officially be done playing Snart in any form, which is a blow to the many fans who have come to love the character over the years. While we'll still have time left with Snart-X when Legends returns next year, his exit is a disappointing loss for the Arrowverse, though he can step away knowing he left behind a beloved character who will never be forgotten.
