The Flash Season 2: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After The Fury Of Firestorm
4. Is Henry Hewitt Gone For Good?
Henry Hewitt was the preferred choice to be the new Firestorm, a similar match to Jax but Caitlin chose him because he's a scientist (and she decided to get a little bit elitist for part of this episode. Obviously, then, since he was first, it wasn't going to work out as intended. While he didn't successfully converge with Professor Stein, his powers were awakened due to the tests at STAR Labs, and naturally he decided to take the pain of rejection and his new abilities to become a supervillain. While he was ultimately defeated thanks to the Flash and Firestorm 2.0, those powers may still be within his system, and they didn't kill him off (maybe that means The Flash's 'killing spree' is over), so is there potential for Hewitt to return later down the line?
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
