The Flash Season 2: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After The Fury Of Firestorm

5. Is That The Last We've Seen Of Francine West?

First of all: I hope so. Sorry Francine, I feel really bad for you, but I'm with Joe and Iris on this one (and if you're ever unsure of which side to take, choose the one Joe picks). You've had two decades of staying away, you can't just waltz back in and play happy families. While her arrival has meant some strong work for Jesse L. Martin and Candice Patton (who has really stepped up to the plate in the last couple of weeks), the whole storyline feels overly melodramtic and soap-y (I know it's on The CW, but still), and in general the character is rather annoying and unlikeable (yes, I know she has a terminal illness, I'm sorry). Joe and Iris have both rejected her, so there shouldn't be much left for the character to do, but with the arrival of another new West imminent it seems she may be sticking around a while longer.
