Intensely enthusiastic about life, oozing charisma at every turn and yet completely ill-equipped to help Team Flash in the way that his predecessors did, Earth-19's answer to Harrison Wells (a.k.a. H.R. Wells) was an unexpected gem.
A character that we initially thought had evil intentions simply turned out to be less of a genius than we all thought, as he wasn't a brilliant scientist or master detective, he was just a novelist on the run from an Earth-19 breacher. And this ended up setting the stage for H.R. to prove to Team Flash that he was brilliant in his own way - as he duped Savitar into killing him instead, sacrificing himself so that Iris could live.
A light in the constant darkness of The Flash's third season, H.R. is still greatly missed to this day.
