The Flash: Ranking Every Version Of Harrison Wells From Worst To Best
1. Harry Wells
It took a long time for Team Flash to warm to Earth-2's Harrison Wells - or 'Harry' as he would affectionately become known as - and while that undoubtedly had a lot to do with the fact that he had the face of the man who manipulated them for years (and killed Barry's mother), it also had something to do with his moody disposition.
Thawne may have been an evil killer, but he conducted himself in a pleasant manner as he deceived those around him - Harry, however, had no time for pleasantries. The ultimate irony here was that he was actually one of the good guys.
However, his arrival to assist Team Flash set the stage for some interesting character development as he soon found himself getting attached to the likes of Cisco and Barry - as the pair helped him understand how to show emotion for those he cared about and this ultimately improved the relationship he had with his daughter Jesse.
Furthermore, his unrivalled knowledge made him an asset to the show in both Seasons 2 and 4, while his dry wit and moody personality made him unexpectedly (and unintentionally) hilarious. He may have been a little rough around the edges, but his heart was in the right place (even more so after Season 4) and Team Flash simply wouldn't have been able to defeat Zoom, Grodd or DeVoe without him.
It seemed unlikely that Cavanagh would be able to best his Season 1 villainy but somehow, someway he upped the ante to produce a character so beloved that many consider him to be the definitive version of Harrison Wells - and it's really easy to see why.
