The Flash: Ranking Every Version Of Harrison Wells From Worst To Best
2. Reverse-Flash
Some might take issue with the fact that Eobard Thawne is included on this list because he wasn't technically Harrison Wells, but given that the Reverse-Flash was in fact our first introduction to the Harrison Wells character and that Tom Cavanagh spent the whole first season portraying him, it's safe to say that he is a version of the character.
An integral part of The Flash's mythology, Wells was confined to a wheelchair due to the particle accelerator explosion and, following that, became a mentor of sorts to Cisco, Caitlin and, most importantly, Barry Allen - as he molded the young man into the heroic Flash, guiding him with his knowledge and expertise. And this made the revelation that he was actually Thawne (the man who killed Barry's mother) in disguise all the more jaw-dropping.
It's hard to sum up just how incredible Cavanagh was here. Both a friendly face for Team Flash to rely on and a terrifying villain that sent chills down our spines, he played the dual role to perfection - setting the bar incredibly high for every Harrison Wells, and Arrowverse villain, who followed.
Without a doubt the greatest villain to ever grace Central City with his presence, Thawne single-handedly used someone else's face to manipulate Team Flash and ironically found himself growing more and more attached to people he was destined to hate. In the process, he kick-started the team's attachment to the Harrison Wells persona and the rest, as they say, is history (or in this case: future).
