12. How Will Velocity-9 Be Used In The Future?

Jay gets another step closer to getting his speed back this week, as Caitlin improves the Velocity serum to last longer, with it now being up to number 9. It gives him speed, and helps his damaged cells, but it's not clear just what else it could be capable of. In the comics it's a drug created by Vandal Savage, granting users superspeed but with some less than desirable side-effects, not least eventual death. Obviously the origins are a bit different here, and with it in the hands of Caitlin Snow, less nefarious. Could this be the answer to Jesse Wells and Wally West becoming the speedsters they're destined to be? Or, with it running through Jay Garrick's veins, and him in the hands of Zoom, could it instead be used to rob Barry of his own speed? Maybe we could even have a situation where it becomes the latest drug being dealt, and all-manner of people are running at superspeed for an *ahem* quick high.
