The Flash Season 2: 12 Big Questions After 'Escape From Earth-2'

8. Why Did Jesse Want To Stay There?

Perhaps not crucial to the plot, but in terms of developing the character of Jesse Wells, this is a moment that really stood out. This was the most screentime she's had, and for the most part was completely believable as the genius daughter of Harry Wells, as she helped Barry crack the code being used by the man in the iron mask. But then, when it came time to leave Earth-2, she refused. What about her life? What about her friends? Erm - you've just been locked-up by a monster for the last four months. Your life has kinda been on-hold anyway. And even if it wasn't, if you stay on Earth-2, you'll have no life. Maybe it was just the trauma of it all, but it didn't really do much for the character.
