The Flash Season 2: 13 Big Questions We're Asking After 'The Darkness And The Light'
6. Could Doctor Light Become A Hero?
The female version of Doctor Light in the comics is Kimiyo Hoshi, a superhero. When it was first announced that the character would be appearing in Season 2, and it'd be a woman, it was expected it would be that iteration. Instead, we had Earth Two's version of Linda Park taking on the name, and setup very much as a villain. This is slightly in keeping with the more famous character to be called Doctor Light, the supervillain Arthur Light. Now that STAR Labs have taken in Linda Park, and hope to make use of her in the fight against Zoom, could she actually start to become a hero like her comic book counterpart? After all, the one we met in this episode may be a thief, but she's clearly reluctant to kill, and while she may be a thief, she has a conscience. If she was just going to be a metahuman-of-the-week, would they have made her someone as well known as Linda Park? It seems likely that there's more, ahem, light to be shed on this matter.
