The Flash Season 2: 13 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Welcome To Earth-2'

7. Why Kill Reverb?

Speaking of favoured characters on this show, Cisco was again one of the standouts here, even better because we got two for the price of one. His doppelgänger took a while to appear, but it was worth the wait, with Reverb being exactly how a villainous version of Cisco Ramon should be, from the hairstyle to the Cloud City Vader-ing of Earth-1 Cisco. In fact, the only downside was that it had to come to an end, with Earth-2 Cisco dying at the hands of Zoom in the same fashion as the Earth-1 version did to Harrison Wells. With this only being part one of the Earth-2 story, couldn't they have kept Reverb around a bit longer? Watching the two Ciscos play off against each other was great, and there was also some potential there in terms of developing Cisco's powers. At the very least, can a version of Cisco dying in the manner become some sort of horrible running joke through every season of this show?
