The Flash Season 2: 20 Most Shocking Moments (So Far)

9. Hawkman Swoops In

In an episode that also saw Vandal Savage debut, Legends of Today saw the first appearance of Hawkman as he literally swooped in from nowhere to collect his €˜one true€™, Chay-Ara-, from Cisco Ramon. Hawkman€™s arrival was a big surprise, and the battle that followed was a highlight of Season 2 so far. Starting as a fight between Hawkman and Green Arrow, things soon escalated to a brilliant butting of heads as the Emerald Archer teamed up with The Flash to take down this new foe. Even then, it€™s a close fight before a lightning punch from the Scarlet Speedster finally brings things to a halt. And just like that, the show had introduced Hawkman and instantly made him seem like a big deal, something which sadly often alludes the character in the comic book world.
