The Flash Season 2: 7 Ups And 4 Downs Of 'Invincible'

7. Laurel Lance Used Well

The Flash Invincible
The CW

Arguably the biggest problem of The CW’s entire DC realm has been the depiction of Laurel Lance over in Arrow.

With Earth-1’s Laurel now killed off at the hands of Damien Darhk, Invincible introduced us to the Earth-2 version of the character, known as the nefarious Black Siren. And what a refreshing change this Laurel Lance was!

Katie Cassidy’s previous turns as Laurel for four years of Arrow have sadly been painful to watch at times, but here she seemed to have a whole lot more fun being a villain and it certainly made for this Laurel to be a far more engaging one than her Earth-1 counterpart. This villainous version of Laurel also seemed to be far more powerful than her now-dead alternate.

Given how Black Siren ended up the episode locked up at S.T.A.R. Labs, we can only hope that Cassidy will get to return in the role at a later date, which could open up some hugely interesting possibilities where the Arrow crew are concerned.
