The Flash Season 2: 8 Ups And 2 Downs From 'The Race Of His Life'
3. Questions
Whilst giving a worthy ending to a season
is vital for any good season finale, equally as key is leaving audiences with
intrigue, excitement and plenty of speculation as to what is to come next for a
show. Again, this is something that The Race of His Life achieved in spades.
In what’s likely to be a further move towards the series doing their take on The Flashpoint Paradox, the season ended with Barry going back in time to save his mother from dying at the hands of Reverse-Flash. That basically changes everything that we’ve come to know about the show and throws up a whole load of questions for next season.
In fairness, there’s a good chance that
Barry will still be The Flash – remember Eobard Thawne said that the reason
that he killed Nora Allen was to make Barry The Flash quicker than he would
become the Scarlet Speedster normally – but things are going to be different.
How different? That’s what we’ll have to wait to find out.
